President Zardari to undertake official visit to UAE

President Asif Ali Zardari will embark on a four-day official visit to the United Arab Emirates from January 26-29, 2026, according to the Press Statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA).

This marked a significant step in deepening the strategic partnership between Pakistan and the UAE.

The President, accompanied by a high-level delegation, will hold crucial meetings with UAE leadership to review and enhance the full spectrum of bilateral relations between the two brotherly nations.

During his visit, President Zardari is scheduled to engage in high-level discussions covering multiple areas of cooperation.

The talks will focus primarily on expanding trade and economic partnerships, strengthening defense and security collaboration, and fostering closer people-to-people connections between the two countries.

The meetings are also expected to address regional and international issues of mutual interest, reflecting the growing importance of Pakistan-UAE cooperation in maintaining stability and prosperity in the region.

This visit comes as a reciprocal gesture following the recent visit of the UAE President to Pakistan, demonstrating the momentum in bilateral relations.

Pakistani officials emphasized that the visit represents both countries’ shared commitment to transforming their longstanding friendship into a mutually rewarding and comprehensive partnership that delivers tangible benefits to the people of both nations.

The Pakistan-UAE relationship has been characterized by strong political, economic, and cultural ties spanning several decades.

The UAE hosts one of the largest Pakistani expatriate communities in the world, with remittances forming a crucial component of Pakistan’s foreign exchange earnings.

The upcoming visit is expected to pave the way for new agreements and memorandums of understanding that could significantly boost bilateral trade, which currently stands at billions of dollars annually, and open new avenues for investment and economic cooperation.

As both nations navigate an increasingly complex regional landscape, the strengthening of their partnership is viewed as crucial for promoting stability, economic development, and mutual prosperity in the broader Middle East and South Asian region.
