FPCCI President Atif Ikram Sheikh attends key meeting at ICCI

ISLAMABAD: President of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), Atif Ikram Sheikh, attended a grand meeting at the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) to deliberate on the pressing issues faced by the business community and the industrial sector. The meeting was attended by ICCI President Sardar Tahir Mehmood, Chairman Founder Group Tariq Sadiq, former ICCI President Zubair Malik, Karim Aziz, Ajmal Baloch, and other prominent representatives of the business fraternity. During the session, detailed consultations were held regarding the Capital Development Authority’s (CDA) ongoing crackdown, the closure of industrial units without prior notice, and various administrative challenges confronting the business community. Addressing the participants, FPCCI President Atif Ikram Sheikh emphasized the need for adopting a joint strategy in the current situation.
He stated, “The Federation of Pakistan stands firmly with the business community of Islamabad. All issues affecting traders and industries will be taken up at the CDA and every relevant government forum with full commitment. ”He further underscored that the government must move away from coercive policies and adopt a consultative and pragmatic approach to ensure the smooth functioning and growth of industrial and commercial activities.
