KARACHI: In a strategic move to bolster trade and investment links between Pakistan and Dubai, the Dubai International Chamber has officially opened a representative office in Karachi. This expansion is part of Dubai’s broader global outreach strategy under the Dubai Global Initiative, which aims to establish 50 international offices by 2030 to promote cross-border business activity and enhance Dubai’s role as a global economic gateway.
The inauguration ceremony, held on Tuesday, was attended by UAE Consul General Dr. Bakheet Ateeq Alremeithi and prominent members of Pakistan’s business community, signaling a strong commitment to strengthening bilateral ties. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, emphasized that the new office would accelerate the already growing commercial relationship between the two markets, driven by increased Pakistani investment interest in Dubai and the expanding footprint of Dubai-based companies in Pakistan’s sectors.
Lootah highlighted, “The opening of our Karachi office is a strategic step towards deepening the economic partnership between Dubai and Pakistan. Our aim is to unlock new avenues for trade, investment, and collaboration, benefiting both sides and paving the way for greater business integration.”
The Karachi office will serve as a hub for Pakistani businesses looking to tap into Dubai’s market by providing market intelligence, regulatory advice, and connecting firms with potential investors and partners. Similarly, the office will assist Dubai-based businesses looking to enter Pakistan’s rapidly growing markets by offering insights into sectors, sourcing partners, and facilitating investments.
With this new office, the Dubai International Chamber aims to further integrate Pakistan into Dubai’s commercial ecosystem, positioning both markets to capitalize on new global opportunities.
